The Rio Hondo/San Gabriel River Watershed Management Authority (RHSGRWMA) proudly received $1,092,000 in grant funding from the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to advance a critical stormwater capture project that will strengthen regional water sustainability and environmental resilience. This achievement was made possible with the support and leadership of Representative Gil Cisneros, whose efforts helped secure these vital resources for our communities.
This milestone reflects a strong partnership among local leaders committed to improving water infrastructure, enhancing groundwater recharge, and protecting natural resources for future generations.

Rio Hondo/San Gabriel River Watershed Management Authority (RHSGRWMA) Board Chair, Dr. Kevin Kearney, and Board Treasurer, Mr. Dominic Lazzaretto, traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet with Representative Judy Chu and discuss FY27 Community Project Funding for the Arcadia City Hall Stormwater Capture Project. This important regional initiative is one of five interconnected projects designed to work together to improve stormwater management, enhance regional water quality, increase groundwater recharge, and strengthen long-term water sustainability for communities throughout the San Gabriel Valley. The meeting highlighted continued collaboration between local and federal leaders to secure critical infrastructure investments that support environmental resilience and protect regional water resources for future generations.
